SASKATOON – Two gold medals and a new national record highlighted an outstanding effort from the University of Saskatchewan Huskies on the second day of the U SPORTS National Championship in Edmonton, Alta.

Recently named the U SPORTS Track Athlete of the Year, fifth-year Huskie
Michelle Harrison ran the fastest time in the history of the U Sports Championships with a new record of 8.15 in the 60-metre hurdles.
Joining Harrison on the top step of the podium was
Landon Gill who improved upon his third-place finish last year to become the second-straight Huskie to claim gold in the heptathlon.
Also claiming a medal was
Karson Lehner in the 300-metre as the Huskies sit third on the men's side with 66 points and fourth on the women's table with 34 points after two days of competition.
The third and final day of competition will take place tomorrow, March 7, and there a number of Huskies looking to add to the team's already impressive haul of hardware.
