CALGARY – The University of Saskatchewan Huskies men's basketball team were unable to keep pace with the UBC Thunderbirds Friday night, falling 88-77 in a conference quarter-final match.
The loss brings an end to a season for a young Huskies squad, featuring just one fifth-year, that was ranked in the U SPORTS Top 10 for much of the season and advance to atleast the quarter-finals for the fourth year in a row.

JT Robinson was electric for Saskatchewan, scoring 29 points in his 35 minutes of the floor.
Emmanuel Akintunde and
Fisayo Moibi both added 11 points apiece for Saskatchewan.
Manroop Clair led UBC with 19 points while the Thunderbirds had four other players score in the double-digits.
A tight first half saw the teams all knotted up at 40-40 after 20 minutes of action.
The Thunderbirds began to pull away in the third, holding a five-point lead heading into the fourth.
The teams traded buckets throughout the early portion of the final frame with Saskatchewan pulling to within three early but that was as close as they would come as the Thunderbirds were able to ride out the remainder of the game and advance to the conference semifinal.
