After finishing the regular season with a record of 11-9 and reaching the conference semifinal stage for the second time in three year, the Huskies have already seen action this pre-season, picking up wins over Concordia (76-73), Nipissing (83-55) and falling to Memorial (87-69) in Montreal last weekend.

Boasting two-time U SPORTS Player of the Year Kadre Gray, Laurentian finished fourth in the OUA East Division last year with a record of 13-10. Winners of all four pre-season games they've played so far this season, Gray has point totals of 51, 40, 25 and 19 in those contests.

Rounding out the competition are the Mount Royal Cougars. Compiling a record of 8-12, the Cougars made it to a Canada West Play-in game where they were bounced 106-83 by Regina. A busy pre-season slate has seen the Cougars go 3-2. Defeating UNBC twice (95-72, 100-96) and StFX (102-93). They have lost to Alberta (92-67) and Guelph (102-91).
