The Huskies will make their return to the post-season, as they will fly west to take on the Thunderbirds (5-3). Saskatchewan is coming off back to back wins over the Manitoba Bisons and Regina Rams, with their last loss coming at the hands of UBC back on Oct. 12, in Vancouver. That victory gave the Thunderbirds the tiebreaker over the Huskies, as both teams finished with matching 5-3 records, allowing UBC to play host to the Canada West Semifinal.

The Huskies opened up their 2018-19 Canada West campaign with a close loss at the hands of the Thunderbirds in Vancouver this past weekend, but the team rebounded with a gritty 70-60 victory on Saturday night, to move to 1-1 on the season. Saskatchewan opened the season as the fifth ranked team in the nation and were voted the number one team in the preseason Canada West coaches poll.

The Huskies picked up an impressive series split on the road against the UBC Thunderbirds this past weekend. Saskatchewan defeated the home side 102-93 in the second game of the series as they bounced back from a 92-87 loss on Friday night.
Chan De Ciman and
Lawrence Moore carried the way for the Huskies as the pair of guards combined for 56 points in the win.

After an impressive opening series in Brandon where they beat the Bobcats on consecutive nights, the Huskies will look to continue their road success as they travel west to take on MacEwan. Third-year outside hitter
Emily Koshinsky recorded 41 kills, 23 digs and 4 aces against Brandon and was named a Saskatchewan Blue Cross Huskie of the Week for her efforts in the opening series.

The Huskies will head to MacEwan with their eyes on their first win of the season after opening their regular-season schedule with back-to-back losses in Brandon. Collin Fraser led the way for Saskatchewan in the contests, as he compiled 23 kills in the two matches. The Griffins sit with a 2-2 record after sweeping the UBCO Heat at home to begin the year, but fell in back to back matches to the Manitoba Bisons in Winnipeg.
