Box Score Scoring four unanswered goals, the University of Alberta Pandas defeated the visiting University of Saskatchewan Huskies 4-1 Friday night at the Clare Drake Arena in Edmonton.
After the Huskies' Lauren Zary opened the scoring at 3:42 in the first period on a power play, Alberta tallied twice in the first, and once each in the second and third periods for the iwn.

With the win, Alberta improves to 17-6-0 and remains at the top of the Canada West women's hockey standings. Saskatchewan drops to 11-9-3 and sits on a seven game losing streak. The Huskies hold on to the fifth spot in the standings.
Hannah Olenyk tied the game at one for Alberta at 4:16 in the first. Alison Campbell gave the Pandas a one goal lead at 16:42 in the smae frame, before Deanna Moring extended the lead at 9:45 in the second. Gillian Altheim tallied the insurance empty net goal at 19:35.
Lindsey Post made 10 saves in the win for the Pandas, while Cassidy Hendricks stopped 21 in the loss for Saskatchewan.
