Huskie Athlete of the Week (Feb 4, 2019):
University of Saskatchewan forward Shyan Elias recorded her first career multi-goal game as a member of the Huskies this past weekend in the team’s 4-3 win over the Mount Royal Cougars.
The fourth year from Winnipeg, scored the go-ahead goal in the second period and added on the eventual game-winning goal for the Huskies, which helped clinched a home quarter-final series for Saskatchewan. The forward is in the midst of the best season of her career at the U SPORTS level, as she has three goals and eight assists this season.
Elias and the Huskies will wrap up their regular season this weekend when they welcome the Manitoba Bisons to Merlis Belsher Place on Feb. 8 & 9.
