Huskie Athlete of the Week (February 5, 2018):

University of Saskatchewan forward Kori Herner helped the Huskies keep pace with the top of the standings scoring two goals in a weekend series with the No. 1 ranked Alberta Pandas.

The fifth-year Kinesiology student scored at 3:18 in the first period and 46 seconds into the second period in the Huskies 3-2 win Saturday night. The Huskies lost Friday in a 2-1 shootout. 

With the four point weekend, Saskatchewan stays in the mix for a bye into the semifinal round of playoffs heading into the final weekend of play.

Herner and the Huskies travel to Calgary to meet the Mount Royal Cougars to close the season.
