Huskie Athlete of the Week (January 11, 2015)

Fifth-year defenceman Julia Flinton racked up five assists to help the No. 7 ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies start the New Year off on a positive note with a weekend sweep over the Lethbridge Pronghorns.

Flinton helped set up the Huskies'' first three goals in Friday night''s 4-2 win, while also playing the shut down role on defence to finish the night at +2.

On Saturday, the Agriculture & Bioresources student picked up a pair of assists. Flinton helped set up the game-winner midway through the third to set Saskatchewan up for the 4-3 win.

The Williams Lake, B.C. product widened her scoring lead among all CIS defenceman. Flinton has 17 points on the season, 7 points up on second spot.
