- The Dakota Classic is set to serve as the Huskies' 2025 season-opening meet
- Athletes from the University of Manitoba, University of Regina, and University of Alberta will compete in 8km men's and women's races
- The meet will serve as the third edition of the Dakota Classic and the sixth since the Huskie cross country team embarked on an annual tradition of wearing orange competition uniforms in support of Every Child Matters and Truth and Reconciliation

Story Lines:
- The Huskies and Rams will meet for the first time since the 2024 Hardy Cup, which saw Regina capture the second conference championship in program history with a 19-14 win at Griffiths Stadium
- The Huskies enter rivalry week coming off their first loss of the campaign, a 21-20 defeat at the hands of the Manitoba Bisons. The game saw the Bisons score 21 unanswered points after the Huskies took a 17-0 halftime lead
- Regina meanwhile enters week three with a perfect 3-0 record and is coming off another high-scoring victory after handing the UBC Thunderbirds a 37-20 loss
- Friday night's game will feature the top two offences in Canada West, with the Rams leading the conference in points per game (42.3) and yards per game (501.7) while the Dogs rank second in both categories (33.3 ppg, 441.3 ypg)
- Defensively, the Huskies own the edge over the Rams, averaging 18.3 points allowed per game to the Rams 26.3
- Plenty of talent will be on display in the week four matchup, especially in the two backfields. Saskatchewan is led by Anton Amundrud (294 ypg, 8 TDs) while Regina features Noah Pelletier under centre (295 ypg, 5 TDs), two of the top pivots in the conference. The quarterbacks are joined by two of the most productive running backs in the nation in Ryker Frank (96 ypg, 1 TD) and Marshall Erichsen (160 ypg, 6 TDs)
- Ryker Frank can tie the all-time total touchdown record for the Huskies with one trip to the endzone on Friday. The fifth-year player tails co-record holders Terry Eisler (20 rush, 10 rec) and Colton Klassen (7 rush, 23 rec)
- The game will also serve as the first game of the U-Prairie Challenge, presented by SaskMilk

- Last weekend, the Huskies suffered a pair of narrow, 1-0 losses to Alberta and MacEwan and will be looking for a bounce back weekend back on the road
- The Bisons meanwhile, are tied with the Lethbridge Pronghorns for last in the division and are coming off back-to-back losses to the MRU Cougars
- The Huskies own a 31-10-7 record over the Bisons all-time and are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak
- In two games last season, the Bisons and Huskies played to a 0-0 draw in Winnipeg after the Dogs secured a 3-1 win at homeÂ

- The Dogs enter the weekend coming off a strong two-game road trip in British Columbia which saw the team secure their first win of the season before playing a hard-fought match with the No. 1 team in the nation
- Currently trailing the Alberta Golden bears for the final Prairie Division playoff spot, the Huskies have a game in hand heading into the fourth week of the season
- Both Trinity Western and Fraser Valley are coming off identical weekends, each earning a 3-0 win over MacEwan and a 0-0 draw with Mount Royal
- TWU currently find themselves in fifth place in the Pacific Division while UFV sits third
- This will be just the second time the Huskies and Spartans have faced off since 2019, with TWU edging the Dogs with a 0-0 draw in 2023 and 2-0 win in 2019
- As for the Cascades, the Huskies own a 20-8-4 record all-time but have failed to defeat the program since 2016, suffering four consecutive losses over that time
