Box Score Three goals in the third period led the No. 5 ranked University of Calgary Dinos to a 5-2 win over the University of Saskatchewan Huskies Saturday night at Saskatoon's Rutherford Rink.
With the weekend sweep, Calgary improves to 15-7-0. Saskatchewan drops to 9-12-1. A night earlier, the Dinos won 6-3.
In the game, Calgary nearly doubled the Huskies in shots at 30-16.

Calgary's Danny Gayle capitalized on a Huskies' giveaway at 14:23 in the first period snapping the puck low to beat rookie Saskatchewan netminder Jordon Cooke. The Dinos' extended the lead at 7:49 in the second frame when a pass from the point found Elgin Pearce, who was able to chip it into a wide-open net.
Saskatchewan rookie Tayler Thompson cut the lead in half when his tip from a Jesse Forsberg shot from the point was tipped by Jacob DeSerres five-hole at 11:59 in the second.
But Calgary answered just 5:23 into third period with a shorthanded goal by Kevin King. King stole the puck in the slot and beat Cooke on his blocker side. Once again, the Huskies pulled within one when Saskatchewan leading scorer Craig McCallum sent a puck from the left faceoff circle under the glove side arm of DeSerres at 15:25.
Ryan Harrison added an empty net goal for Calgary at 18:44, just 1:12 before he scored the fifth Dinos' goal, scoring top shelf short side.
DeSerres made 14 saves in the win for the Dinos, while Cooke stopped 25 at the other end of the ice for the Huskies.
Calgary returns home for a home-and-home series with the Mount Royal Cougars, while Saskatchewan travels to Vancouver to meet the UBC Thunderbirds.
