For the third straight season, University of Saskatchewan men's soccer striker Brett Levis has been named a CIS All-Canadian.
The fourth-year was named a CIS First Team All-Canadian at the CIS men's soccer awards banquet in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Wednesday night. It is the sixth straight season a Huskie has been named to an All-Canadian team.
Levis finished the season leading the Canada West scoring race with nine goals and eight assists. He also took a league-high 54 shots in his 11 regular season matches.
The University of Saskatchewan Huskies claimed its first-ever Canada West Championship with a 4-2 win over the Alberta Golden Bears on home turf in Saskatoon. Saskatchewan had advanced to the championship match for the second straight season after a 2-0 semifinal win over the Victoria Vikes and a 5-1 quarter-final win over the Winnipeg Wesmen.
The Huskies advanced to the conference championship tournament for the third time in four years after finishing first in the Prairie Division with a program-best 9-1-2 record. The Huskies were ranked in the CIS Top 10 all season, falling no lower than No. 7 in the weekly poll.
Captain Jordian Farahani was also eligible to be named an All-Canadian, while striker Luigi Bekwayo was a nominee for the Student-Athlete Community Award and Bryce Chapman was a nominee for Coach of the Year.
