Box Score University of Saskatchewan forward Craig McCallum scored at 3:07 in overtime to lift the No. 4 ranked Huskies to 2-1 win over the visiting UBC Thunderbirds Friday night in Saskatoon's Rutherford Rink.
The fifth-year Education student was able to beat UBC netminder Matt Hewitt with a shot from the slot. Hewitt was scrambling after he lost stick when a Huskie shot knocked it from his hands.
With the win, the Huskies remain undefeated in the young Canada West season with a 3-0-0 record. UBC drops to 1-1-1.

Saskatchewan's Matthew Spafford opened the scoring at 9:52 in the first period on a scramble in front of the net.
After the second period solved nothing. UBC tied the game quickly in the third period. Just 1:47 into the final frame, UBC's Adam Rossignol's quick shot on a rush into the Huskie zone beat Huskie goalie Ryan Holfeld stick side.
Hewitt finished the game making 18 saves in the loss, while Holfeld stopped 25 for Saskatchewan at the other end of the ice.
The two teams meet again Saturday night. Puck drop is 7 p.m. at Rutherford Rink.
