Lloyd Probert, a graduate of Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B.A., 1943) in 1939.
For four years he was a member of the Huskies basketball team, which won the Western Canadian University championship in 1939-40. On the swimming team, Lloyd excelled in the sprints and relays.
In 1943, he was awarded the prestigious Rusty McDonald Trophy for leadership, sportsmanship, athletics and academics among U of S athletes.
In addition to participating in sports, Lloyd was a member of the Men's Athletic Board for three years and was Senior Stick in the Department of Medicine.
