Five time Canada West champion and three time CIS champion in pole vault, Kelsie Hendry, raised the Canada West record four times to 4.20-metres and the CIS championship record three times to 4.22-metres.
In her time with the Huskies from 2000 to 2005, she was a member of four CIS championship teams and four Canada West championship teams. Unbeatable, Kelsie went undefeated in 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2004-05.
She was named the CIS track & field female athlete of the year three times, a three time Canada West Female Performer of the Meet and a three time Huskie Athletics Female Athlete of the Year. She also won the Canada West Track & Field Rookie of the year and was a leader academically being named a two-time CIS All-Academic, as well as a Huskie First Team All-Academic and a Huskie Second Team All-Academic. She also had the prestige of being the Canada West Nominee for the BLG Award as female athlete of the year in Canada in all university sports in 2004-05.
Kelsie has competed
internationally throughout her career including at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Kelsie has a Bachelor of Arts & Science, as well as a Bachelor of
Education.
