Henrietta (Mackay) Goplen, a graduate of Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B.S. H. Ec., 1954) in 1950.
She competed in basketball and volleyball during her four years on campus and was also an accomplished speed skater.
Henrietta was a centre/forward on the Huskiette basketball team and excelled as an all-around player in volleyball.
In 1953-54, she received a Major Athletic Award as well as the Spirit of the Youth Trophy for leadership, sportsmanship, academics and Athletics.
She was a member of the Women's Athletic Board, including a term as president.
Henrietta was inducted as a builder into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame in 1988.
