Brian Gamborg, a graduate of City Park Collegiate in Saskatoon, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (B. Sc. 1979; MD, 1984) in 1977.
Brian was a member of the Huskies volleyball team for five years. He was named to the Canada West conference all-star team five consecutive seasons and in 1981, was selected to the CIAU All-Canadian team.
While a member of the Huskies, the team twice captured the Canada West title and won the CIAU national championship in 1978-79. At the 1980 CIAU championship, Brian was named a tournament all-star.
While a student at the University of Saskatchewan, he played on the Canadian national volleyball team.
Brian married Joyce Senyk, also a University of Saskatchewan Athletic Wall of Fame inductee. He went on to practice medicine in Sulphur, Louisiana.
