Shelley (Ready) Bodnar, a graduate of Adem Bowman Collegiate in Saskatoon, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan in 1978.
She was a member of the Huskiette basketball team for five years, serving as co-captain for one season.
Shelley was a Canada West conference all-star guard in 1979-80.
At the conclusion of her career, she was fifth all-time on the Huskiettes in conference scoring with 804 points.
In 1982 and 1983, Shelley won the Valerie Girsberger Trophy for sportsmanship, leadership, athletics and academics. She was the city junior women's golf champion in 1979 and 1980.
