  2. The Huskies look to start a new streak of season opening wins after having their 12 year streak snapped by Manitoba in 2015.
  3. Friday night is the annual Support Our Troops game. The Huskies will don special uniforms and help raise money for our Canadian Forces. 
  4. Huskie head coach Brian Towriss will face off against newly appointed Rams head coach Stephen Bryce for the first time.

8 - CIS Second Team All-Canadian Donovan Dale led the conference with 8 sacks in 2015.

35 - In their last meeting in October of 2015, the Huskies put up 35 points in the second half to notch a 38-37 come-from-behind victory. 

87 - Defensive lineman Donovan Dale and receiver Mitch Hillis were both named CIS All-Canadians in 2015 becoming the 86th & 87th Huskies to receive the honour.

1062 - CIS First Team All-Canadian receiver Mitch Hillis set a Huskie record with 1062 receiving yards in 2015. He also set a new program mark with 66 receptions. 

Scouting The Rams

  • New Rams head coach Steve Bryce will make his Canada West coaching debut Friday at Griffiths Stadium. Bryce played for the Rams during their time as a junior program.
  • The Rams met the Calgary Dinos in a neutral-site non-conference game in Medicine Hat. The Dinos had a 10 point lead at halftime before going on to win 37-13.
  • The Rams return leading passer Noah Picton, leading rusher Atlee Simon and leading receiver Mitch Thompson from their 2015 squad.
