Health Care Coalition
The
intent of the Health Care Coalition is to bring the medical and paramedical
available in the city of Saskatoon together to provide an all-encompassing
health care team to service Huskie Athletics. The Coalition is designed to
foster the development of strong lines of communication within the Huskie
Athletics Sport Health Centre, to facility process of attaining accurate
medical assessment and return to sport prognosis.
The
Coalition will accessed through the Team Physiotherapist. This will allow
prescreening of injures by the Team Physiotherapist and ensure efficient
channeling of severe or problematic injures to the appropriate Sports Medicine
Practitioner, Orthopedic Surgeon, or other Coalition member.
The
formation of the Coalition does not prevent an athlete from seeing their family
medical practitioner. Athletes new to Saskatoon may choose to find a family
medicine / sports medicine practitioner from our Coalition.
