Holding off a University of Saskatchewan rally, the Brandon University Bobcats completed a sweep of the Huskies with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21) victory Saturday night at the PAC in Saskatoon.
Brandon took a 2-0 lead in the match after 25-21 and 25-16 wins in the first two sets, but Saskatchewan battled point-for-point in the third to steal a 25-23 win. In the fourth set, the Huskies had a 11-9 lead, but four straight points by the Bobcats put them back in control. With the win, Brandon improves to 8-10, while the Huskies fall to 3-15. A night earlier, the Bobcats won 3-0 (26-24, 25-13, 27-25). The sweep keeps the Bobcats playoff push alive.
