The University of Saskatchewan Huskie wrestling team had top results at the Cougar Open in Regina on Saturday.
The women’s team finished second in the team standings, while the men finished third. The Huskies combined for six medals at the tournament.
Natasha Kramble (51-kg), Ryan Myrfield (76-kg) and Landon Squires (90-kg) all won gold medals for the Huskies. Hannah Franson (55-kg) and Malcolm Meekins (65-kg) brought home silver medals, while Annie Monteith (48-kg) won bronze.
Other Huskies competing were: Drew Kuhn (59-kg, 4th); Raelene Anderson (82-kg, 4th); Dylan Bray (57-kg, 4th); Andrew Johnson (82-kg, 4th); Shane Johnson (54-kg, 5th); Theo Dow (61-kg, 5th); Laurel Hague (51-kg, 5th) and Lisa Brise (63-kg, 5th).
The Huskies travel to the Winnipeg to compete in the Wesmen open on February 2.
