For the fourth straight year the University of Saskatchewan Huskies were crowned winners of the annual Graham Shootout Saturday with an 80-71 victory over the Lakehead University Thunderwolves.
Earlier in the day, Regina Cougars defeated the Concordia Stingers 96-85.
Rounding out the tournament standings were the Thunderwolves 2-1, the Regina
Cougars 1-2 and the Concordia Stingers 1-2. Saskatchewan's Matthew Forbes and Stephon
Lamar were each named tournament all-stars, as well as Regina’s Connor Burns,
Lakehead’s Ryan Thomson and Concordia's Adam Chmielewski. Huskie guard Patrick
Burns was named the tournament MVP.
The Huskies extend their overall record to 5-1 after the win over Lakehead.
