The Brandon University Women’s Volleyball Bobcats finished the weekend with a definitive sweep against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at the Brandon University gymnasium. The final score for the evening was 3-0 for Brandon.
In each set, the Bobcats led the Saskatchewan team which was unable to keep up with the dominant home team. The score for the first set was 25-12, the second was 25-18 and the final was also 25-12.
Leading in kills for the Bobcats were Erin Visch-Krahn with 8 and Teagan Hunter with 7 kills. Ashley Schurko and Candace Hueser each had team high 6 kills for Saskatchewan.
Coach Lee Carter described the Bobcats play as “Consistent play with a lot more attention to detail.”
This game brings the Bobcats Canada West conference record to 3-1 and Saskatchewan’s record to 0-4. On the next weekend, November 13th and 14th, the Bobcats will play at Trinity Western and Saskatchewan will play at home against the University of British Columbia.
