Nicole Betker

Nicole Betker joined Huskie Athletics in September 2007 as the Sports Information Director.

A Regina native, Betker earned her bachelor of Journalism at Ryerson University in Toronto. During her time in Toronto, Betker worked for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Ltd., at the Air Canada Centre home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Rock. She served as the sports editor for the School of Journalism's news paper the Ryersonian covering University athletics.

Prior to joining the Huskies, Betker was a sports journalist for the Edmonton Journal and the Prince Albert Daily Herald. During her time with the two newspapers, she covered the Western Hockey League, Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League, Prairie Gold Lacrosse League, High School and University athletics, numerous golf tournaments around the province and the 2005 Canada Summer Games.

The Sports Information Director handles all of the communications (internal and external) for all 15 Huskie teams. The position also is in charge of the Huskie Athletics website.
