Becoming a Huskie
Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS)
Canadian Interuniversity Sport, which is the national governing body of university sport in Canada, is composed of the majority of degree granting universities in the country. Fifty-three member institutions with over 10,000 student-athletes and 550 coaches vie for 21 National Championships in 12 different sports. CIS also provides high performance international opportunities for Canadian student-athletes at Winter and Summer Universiades, and 27 World University Championships.
From Victoria to St. John's, student-athletes compete for national and regional honours from the following Regional Associations:

Quebec Student Sports Federation
Atlantic University Sport
Huskie Athletics participates in the Canada West regional association of the CIS.

Try-outs
All U of S students are eligible to try-out for any of the 15 Huskie teams. For information on try-out schedules for a specific team, please contact the head coach directly.

- The PAC – Home to the volleyball and basketball teams
- Griffiths Stadium in PotashCorp Park – Home to Huskie football
- Field 7 in PotashCorp Park – Home of Huskie soccer
- Rutherford Rink – Home of Huskie hockey
- Education Gym – Home of Huskie wrestling
- Saskatoon Field House – Home to track & field
